summer blues.
I’m not typically one for turquoise (ok, aside from my very-favourite nail polish), but I’m really into these vibrant interior accents. The combination of worn wood, books and turquoise is pretty close to perfect and I especially love the idea of painting an old thrifted chair (or two) a bright shade of said blue. Note to self.

hot tips.
While we’re on the subject of tropical vacations, this new polish collection fits perfectly into said daydream. I spent last summer completely addicted to Essie’s North Fork collection (mostly, Greenport) and these new lush lacquer options don’t disappoint. Love.

storage love.
Those who know me and, well, now even those who don’t, know that I have a serious thing for nail polish. So of course my mind went straight to lacquer when I read Maegan’s latest brilliant DIY project. I’ve decided that I want to sort my polish collection by colour in my linen closet. So simple and lovely and also a good excuse to purchase a few more shades to balance it all out. Additional pretty storage ideas are always welcome, of course.

the week in a snap.
Over the last week I discovered that Essie’s Greenport works for any occasion, experienced the addictiveness of Chatroulette (SheDoestheCity described it as “a scary place – but slightly thrilling!” Exactly.) and learned a lot from Toronto’s Blog Stars. I didn’t take any pictures of the latter, but you can find that and more at Raymi’s, Sean’s and Casie’s blogs, if you like.

mirror, mirror.
I really like pretty things. Most of all, I love high heels, Chuck Taylors, red lipstick, short skirts, worn denim, stripes and last, but very likely first: nail polish.
A few months ago, I was completely stunned by images from the Chanel Haute Couture spring/summer 2010 runway via genius nail artist Sophy Robson. But it wasn’t the clothes that I wanted – it was the polish. Chrome! Sadly, I couldn’t find a similar shade anywhere…until today. The reflective metallic looks especially lovely in the city sunlight, in case you were curious. Oh, I love.
