light bright.
I hope that you all had a lovely long weekend. I spent one hot and hazy day out on my balcony with cold drinks, a great playlist and a paintbrush. I took my own advice and painted my kitchen chairs a gorgeous shade of turquoise. They look great against our overstuffed bookcase, but they would look even better mixed with accents from the Missoni Home Collection. Any similar accent suggestions are welcome.

summer blues.
I’m not typically one for turquoise (ok, aside from my very-favourite nail polish), but I’m really into these vibrant interior accents. The combination of worn wood, books and turquoise is pretty close to perfect and I especially love the idea of painting an old thrifted chair (or two) a bright shade of said blue. Note to self.

dream team.
I am kind of obsessed with The Novogratzs. The husband and wife team develops, designs and decorates spaces all around Manhattan…with their seven kids. Insane. More insane, though, is how incredible their design skills are. So, so gorgeous.

Have a lovely weekend!
love note.
I love this print - I think it would look especially lovely hanging in my bathroom. There, it would be one of the first things my tired eyes would read each morning, just before I adjusted the shower and got ready to start the day. Early morning inspiration goes a long way, I think.

map love.
Living in Toronto is wonderful but there is one thing I really, really miss: my family! My heart is scattered across the globe in big pieces and it’s for this reason that I gasped so loudly when I stumbled upon this idea. I’m going to DIY my very own heart-shaped maps this weekend.

Have the loveliest weekend. xo!
storage love.
Those who know me and, well, now even those who don’t, know that I have a serious thing for nail polish. So of course my mind went straight to lacquer when I read Maegan’s latest brilliant DIY project. I’ve decided that I want to sort my polish collection by colour in my linen closet. So simple and lovely and also a good excuse to purchase a few more shades to balance it all out. Additional pretty storage ideas are always welcome, of course.

Little explanation required today. Have a lovely, sunshine-filled day.

hearted.

Isn’t this image gorgeous? While I know it’s a snapshot of a pair of heart tights, I can’t help but think that they would look even better as curtains in my apartment.

west hollywood.
Not only is his photography gut-wretchingly pretty, but oooh, so is his apartment. Max Wanger’s art deco-inspired Hollywood home is featured on Design Sponge today – isn’t it lovely? I love all of the artwork and photos displayed in his living room and work space and I especially love the paper wall hangings behind his bed. Also: I would like that bird print please and thanks.
